Essential expat life insurance.
The basic expat Life Insurance plan will provide financial
security for your family and it will pay out a lump sum in the
event of death. Life insurance cover is available on a
single or joint life basis and many plans we recommend now
include terminal illness benefit.
Expat critical illness insurance.
Expatriate Critical Illness Insurance can provide cover in the
event of permanent and total disability, or the diagnosis of a
serious illness. In the event of incapacity your future plans
are likely to dramatically change. Financial security is
therefore crucial to maintaining your family's lifestyle.
Expat critical illness
cover will help provide an income to cover day to day living
costs, mortgage repayments or medical expenses. As with life
cover there are different types of critical illness plan to
cover either on a single or joint life basis.
Expat life insurance with critical illness
cover.
We have access to insurance plans offering the benefit of
international life insurance combined with
comprehensive critical illness cover. These insurance plans are
designed for the expatriate
who wants complete security with maximum protection in any
event.
Common expat insurance plan features.
As an expatriate It is important for you to have flexibility
built in to any protection plan. Many insurance plans we
recommend offer the ability to increase or reduce the amount of
cover and to adjust the frequency of payments, and most have no
penalty clause if you wish to cancel.
As an independent UK insurance
broker, we have access to a range of insurance policies
specially suited to our international clients. Wherever
you live and work, we'll find the plan that best fits you individual
requirements.
International & expatriate life insurance
options.
Typically our
international life insurance policies can be taken on the following terms.
-
Level Term Assurance
Premiums are fixed for the duration of the insurance term and a payment will
only be made if a death occurs during the insurance period. Taken out for a
fixed term, level term insurance can be a useful way to provide security for
dependents up to a certain age.
-
Whole of Life Cover
Normally the most expensive type of life insurance, these policies run for
life of the policy holder and will pay out on their death. This type of
insurance can be used by expats to help pay estate inheritance taxes.
-
Decreasing Term Assurance
As the name suggests, life cover decreases during the insurance term
reducing the cash payout the longer the term runs. Can be useful for the expat
wishing to secure the payment of a reducing debt if they die during the
term. Less expensive than level term insurance.
-
Annually Reviewable
Policies.
These policies are reviewed annually and can be cheap initially but will
become more expensive as the policy holder's age increases.
