School & University Tuition Fees
Savings Plans.
Although primarily designed for provision of school fees, the funds from
a school fees savings plan can be used for
anything. If the children do not go to a fee-paying school, or gain a scholarship or leave early, the funds can be used however you want. They are not tied to school fees.
Capital Schemes for School & University Tuition
Fees.
These schemes are based on the payment of a single sum to a recognised Guaranteed Fund. The return on your investment is guaranteed and protected against problems such as the death of parents or children and the abolition of private schools.
Ideally a sum is invested on the birth of a child. A sufficient and early investment should amount to around only 25% of the total school fees payable and this includes both preparatory and public schools, even less for University.
Income Schemes for School & University Tuition
Fees.
For many, the raising of a single lump sum is not a practical proposition. 'Out of income' saving schemes provide an effective alternative. This way school
& university tuition fees may still be substantially reduced by way of regular monthly or annual payments.
These policies are designed to mature as school fees & university fees are needed
to be met. The schemes are flexible and may be designed to individual circumstances; but they still depend on an adequately early start being made.
Capital & Income Schemes for School &
University Tuition Fees.
These schemes cater for those who have an inadequate capital sum to cover the entire cost of education, but who wish to make large irregular payments over a short term.
Immediate Funding for School & University
Tuition Fees.
Borrowing to meet immediate education fees can be an effective way of smoothing the family budget at a time of peak outgoings. It allows you to spread the cost
of private education over a number of years beyond the time when the children have finished their formal education.
Although inevitably the overall cost may be greater, these plans can help make private schooling, and university
fees, affordable.
The FSA do not regulate some forms of School fees planning.
