To give you a clear understanding of the expat life insurance application process we've outlined the key stages below.
We'll represent you at every stage and keep you updated of progress. We'll support you through the entire application process and we'll continue to be on hand after the policy commences.
You can decide on the amount of cover required for your personal circumstances or you can seek advice from us. We will obtain a personalised illustration based on your requirements.
If you are happy with the illustration, we will send you an application form to complete together with a list of ID requirements to send on
Once you have completed the application form, we will submit to the insurer for review. Any supporting documents identified in the previous stage will also need to be sent to us at this stage to support your application.
The insurers underwriter will assess the application and request any additional information such as answers to additional medical questions.
A medical examination may be required. If required the insurer will ask for the details of an English speaking doctor of your choice, they will then arrange for the medical paperwork to be sent to them.
You then arrange a suitable convenient appointment to have the medical examination carried out.
Once all outstanding items back, the underwriters will review and reach a decision.
Once they have reached an underwriting decision they will issue acceptance terms or in the worst case scenario decline the application.
The acceptance terms are sent to you for review and if you are happy with them, the policy can commence. Once the policy has commenced you are covered.
